Halloween at school and my longest relationship :)

November 3, 2016

At the school I work at we were allowed to dress up with the kids for Halloween.

My friend Jess let me borrow her Fairy Godmother costume.

It was so cute! And I tried to stay in character for most of the day, granting all the kids wishes 🙂

I did my friend Cristina’s zombie make-up before the kids came.

And did a fun Girls Club activity with my fellow speechies, A.AK. The 3 Blind Mice”

When I got home I did a half hour on the elliptical ( I pushed myself! I’ve been so lazy, so I told myself I must start up again on Monday, even if it was just for 30 minutes.)

And then ran out to get my K letter balloon blown up.

Adam and I celebrated 3 years of our relationship.

We spoke on the phone 3 Halloweens ago which changed our lives forever.

On the donut I had the lady at the bakery write “You’re my longest” as this day signified that Adam was now my longest relationship, and will always be 🙂

For dinner I made a crock-pot meal, turmeric rice and salad.

The crock-pot meal was no bueno. I got the apple smoked turkey tenderloin and we didn’t like the smokey flavor.

The rice came out good, though! I added turmeric, curry powder, cumin, salt and black pepper.

And made an aperol spritz to sip on for the orange color to go with the Halloween vibe.

All you do is add:

-3 parts prosecco

-1 part aperol

-soda water for bubbles

I carved a pumpkin just for the seeds.

I used chosen foods avocado oil spray, pumpkin pie spice, salt and a little coconut sugar and baked for 5 minutes on 300 degrees.

The rest of the seeds came with me to work to top off my morning smoothie.

We gave out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I changed into my festive mermaid leggings from Lotus Leggings.

Adam fell asleep on the couch.

And my sis Rachel played with the puppy.

We dressed her up as a pumpkin and a lobster.

And then tired her out.

How was your Halloween evening?

Did you carve a pumpkin this year? Do you eat the seeds?

Cheers!, or for today, BOO!
