A day in: Delray Beach

My perfect Delray day would look like this:

Morning: start out walking by the ocean from George Bush Blvd, to the nature center and say hi to the Sharks, to the beach side of the Seagate hotel. Bring a Tommy Bahama backpack chair to sit on after your walk.

For breakfast I would likely stop by Cafe Luna Rosa for their delicious Bloody Mary ( make sure to ask for 2 provolone & pepperoni skewers for the drink). I love the eggs special with gluten free toast that they get from a bakery in the town over in Boynton Beach.

OR I would eat at Caffe Martier. I always order a fresh juice and adore their Wild ‘Shroom omelette that has Brie cheese oozing all throughout, with a side of pita points and a fresh and lightly dressed olive oil green salad.

Juice from cafe Martier:

Bloody Mary’s and eggs from cafe Luna rosa

But, if you’re looking for a real feast and decadent treat, the Sundy House brunch is hands down the place to go.
After, you can rent a paddleboard or relax by the pool or beach at the Marriott. Or rent a boat off of George Bush Blvd. and sail the intracoastal all the way to Lake Boca!

For lunch, I highly recommend Marianne’s or Loic Arteut French Bakery.

Before dinner stop by the N2 wine bar in Pineapple grove.

You can even throw a birthday party here like I did!

For dinner, where to start??!! Depending on what you’re in the mood for, here are my recommendations:

-El Camino for Mexican/Latin fare. The brisket quesadillas are mouth watering. An order of guacamole is a must!

-Vic and Angelo’s for an Italian feast. End your meal with the cotton candy and cannolis for a real treat.

-Dada’s for a cool vibe and unsual eats. Their mojito is a must!

I also love Papa’s Tapas, Cut 432 (their truffle Mac and cheese is to die for) and Lilo’s for a quick bite. Taverna Opa is always a crowd pleaser!

After dinner listen to free concert music in the Delray Square on Swinton and Atlantic Ave.

For nightlife, some of my favorites include the locals hot spot 3rd&3rd, The Office or Honey!

Hanging at The Office

Dessert: my new favorite spot – POPBAR!

Or, wait in line at Kilwin’s which is always DELICIOUS! It’s SUGAR has fun candies and nic-naks too!

And if you’re looking for some late night grubs, PIZZA is the best from Sazio or Sazio express.

I have so many more local hot spots that I swear by! Stay tuned for another blog post of ‘A day in…’

Cheers! xxJ 💛
