Over the weekend we celebrated one of my lifetime besties ‘non-baby shower’ baby shower!
She is only a few weeks away from delivering her 3rd baby and she did not want to make a big shabang about it – but it was imperative that we celebrate this wonderful addition in her family.
I’ve known Simone since middle school and later became college roomies!
We celebrated at each others’ Bar Miztvahs and now celebrating marriages and babies.
She will have 3 kids under 30 and is also a speech therapist like me – I don’t know how she does it all!!! She has become such a wonderful mother – it’s so cool to watch. #ProudFriend
Her mom hosted a delicious brunch at a greek style restaurant called Apeiro in the Delray Marketplace.
We shared a hummus platter
and I ordered a Bloody Mary
(when in Rome 😉
and a chopped chicken salad
followed by a big hunk of cake!
We can’t wait to meet your baby boy!!!
Aunties LOVE YOU!
After the baby shower I headed home and got ready for dinner at my cousin Lisa’s house.
My sister, pup and I.
Our attempt at a family photo.
For dinner we ate an assortment of food.
Started off with a boatload of apps.
My cousins knows how to put out a delish spread!!!
(Check out this video on how Ina Garten assembles a cheese platter here!) Thanks, mom!
and loaded up on Italian goods.
Linguine with white clam sauce, chicken parmegiana, baked ziti, meatballs, etc.
Clams are my FAVE
And can’t forget about the artichoke
and a big plate of un-pictured food porn.
Sundays are typically spent doing laundry, food shopping, meal prepping, etc.
BUT, this particular Sunday was spent celebrating happy occasions with friends and eating a delicious dinner with my family.
What’s better than that???
How do you spend your Sundays?!
