Halloweenie is just around the corner!!!! DIY Piñata Costume

October 11, 2016

And the countdown begins!

20 days until All Hallows Eve 2016!

Here’s how to make this DIY piñata costume

You’ll need:

For the dress

  • one stretchy dress (I picked up mine for $7 from Plato’s closet!) ***Make sure the dress is loose- the streamers and glue will make the dress even tighter, so make sure you have a good amount of wiggle room to begin
  • assorted colored streamers (Head to the Dollar store)
  • fabric glue or a hot glue gun
  • scissors

Directions:

Watch this video to see the step-by-step since I did not take a video of how to assemble.

For the cone:

Optional if you want to be a unicorn piñata

  • one piece of any colored construction paper
  • streamer
  • tape
  • bobby pins

Directions:

Make a cone shape out of the construction paper and tape. Wrap a piece of steamer around the cone and tape to secure. Poke to holes on both side of the base and secure on your head with bobby pins.

Here’s my finished product:
