Hitting the barre

Today I decided to change it up and try out a local barre workout class with my mom.

I’m used to a fast paced, high energy workout. Barre was way different. It was smaller movements…but holy moly, you feel them! This class is great for sculpting and working both small and large muscle groups.

Real talk: midway through the workout the class sounded like a cross between a soft core porn and Lamaze class full of pregnant women 🙉 Some people just really feel the burn.

The instructor was awesome and helped with positioning.  I told her I was a newbie at this and was happy for her help as you can injure yourself easily. At the end my mom quietly said “thank you for the torture”. LOL
After class we picked up a smoothie from Juice Buzz. Berry Nice for me and mint for mom.

Adam picked me up and we were off to our cake tasting for the wedding!

We share an obsession for rainbow cookies. The baker at Johnson’s Custom Cakes had us try a cake that have those delicious flavors!

We ended up LOVING it! Almond cake with raspberry and apricot preserves layers 🙂
