Mix all dry ingredients in a small bowl. Leave out the chocolate chips.
Add in the applesauce and milk. Mix well.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spray 2 small microwavable ramekins/mugs with cooking spray. Pour half of the batter evenly into each ramekin.
Microwave for two minutes.
Optional topping to drizzle on top after the cakes have been cooked:
Vegan Option: 1 tbsp coconut oil and 1 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 stevia packet
Non-vegan Option: 1 tbsp cream cheese, 1 tbsp vanilla/regular almond milk, 1 stevia packet
