Tea Time

Starting the day with some strong coffee. It was hard to get out of bed this morning – I didn’t sleep too well :/ Last night we stayed in and decided to make some dinner from freezer finds. Fancy, huh? We had quite the schmorgesborg: fish sticks and broccoli with a Corona Light for me ( I was in the mood for a brew) and chicken nuggets and chicken shu mai for Adam.

We nibbled on Trader Joe’s lightly salted edamame while everything baked. Drizzled with
truffle oil of course – OMG you must try this oil!!! It tastes delicious on edamame, pasta, popcorn, veggies.. So good!!! And a little goes a long way.
I can’t believe my eyes. We are watching the new Pee Wee movie on Netflix. Blast from the past to the 80s is fine by me! ( I am an 80s baby 😎) Pee Wee hasn’t aged a bit! Or whoever did his makeup is a genius. Joe Manganiello is in it. Hubba hubba. Sofia is one lucky lady LOL


While waiting for my coffee to brew I decided to make a big batch of iced tea. It’s SO easy! Fill a large pot of water and bring to a boil. Take it off the heat and throw in 3-4 tea bags of your choice and let it steep for 5-7 minutes (you don’t want it to get bitter if it sits longer). Let it cool and pour into a drink container. It lasts in the fridge for a week. Today I made peppermint iced tea. Peppermint aids in digestion and weight loss, reduces inflammation and pain, relaxes the mind and body and boosts the immune system. Drink up!
