The reception room was exactly what we imagined it could be.
Lots of gold with pops of pink and white.
We chose high, floral centerpieces on gold candelabras. The flowers were white hydrangeas, a variety of pink roses and white orchids.
The cake was STUNNING. We went with an almond flavored cake with raspberry and apricot preserve layers covered with white fondant and gold edible decorations. Inside the cake, we requested for Johnson’s Bakery in Wellington, Florida to make the layers pink ombre’. It was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS.
We had a live band, photo booth and a live portrait painter. The live music kept the party bumping. People were loving the interactive Photo Booth which was a cool way to send everyone home with memories. And the live painter, Nancy, was hands down my most favorite vendor from the wedding.
While the room was exquisite, it was really the PEOPLE that made this evening above and beyond. You could feel the LOVE in the room. While planning this wedding, Adam and I felt that it was most important that our guests have a great time. Everyone was up dancing and having a blast. We were truly blessed.
Let the party begin!
Our bridal party and parents danced into the room as we followed.
The band played Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’ on the horns when we entered the room. It felt like we were on Cloud 9.
We were thrown right into our first dance.
The band sang ‘Take My Breath Away’ by Berlin
And as tradition would have it, we danced the Horah and were bobbed up and down on chairs.
Our band forgot to pass out the foam wands we ordered from Etsy for the party. Oh well, we will definitely find have another party to use them at.
Followed by the most heart warming speeches by close friends and family.
The toss of the bouquet
The cake cutting
In our case, cake smashing 😉
Our photographer pulled Adam and I to do a photoshoot by the pool while the party continued on.
Through the happy times and stresses of wedding planning, it was worth every minute.
At the end of the day, I got to marry my best friend.
And celebrate that with our loved ones.
What’s better than that?
